In research blue light has been found to be good at killing bacteria. This is why barbershops have used blue light to sterilize their tools. Acne is caused, in part, by bacteria so blue light would be a good defense against future outbreaks. Please do not open your eyes while using blue light as it is not good for your eyes.

Red light has been used by the military and big university sports departments for years to reduce inflammation, increase fibroblast growth factors and collagen, increase circulation and improve healing times.
