Our Journey
When my husband moved from using a 4-legged walker with a tray to a wheelchair he really missed the convenience of the tray.
Adding things to his lap while he propelled the chair forward usually ended up with things on the floor. His neurodegenerative disease (MS) made it hard to use the knobs of standard wheelchair trays. Plus, trying to transfer to a toilet is the opposite of quick with these tabletops. You end up with a tray on the bathroom floor ... and a mess.
I wanted him to have a tray he could go to the refrigerator with, move the tray to stand, get his food on the tray, sit down and wheel to a table by himself. None of the trays on the market can do this.
So, the moveable wheelchair tray project started. I bought some parts at the hardware store and asked him if he could 3-D print a few parts. After almost a year of my husband using and LOVING the prototype I had an engineer create CAD files to make plastic injection molded parts so we could bring this product to you
Mission
Make everyday living easier for individuals who rely on wheeled devices to perform their daily activities. We want to promote independence and reduce reliance on caregivers which improves quality of life.
Vision
We are dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals using wheeled mobility devices. Our unwavering commitment lies in creating innovative solutions that seamlessly integrate into daily routines. By transforming frustrating challenges into pathways for independence, dignity, and joy, we envision a world where every person feels empowered and supported.
Our Values
We are committed to enhancing the lives of those that have mobility issues and their loved ones in four main ways.
- We believe in empowering individuals with mobility challenges. Our innovative products promote independence.
- We select durable materials and optimize designs for strength and longevity because we value quality craftmanship.
- Our packaging serves a dual purpose: it can store essential parts for users but is also biodegradable if thrown away. We’re proud to contribute to a greener future by using sustainable packaging.
- We want to reinvest part of our profits to create new solutions. If one day we run out of ideas, then part of our profits will go to help those with special challenges to pay it forward.
Join us in promoting independence & enhance lives, one innovation at a time in an effort to make every day easier.
Disclaimer
E Commerce Enterprises LLC has taken extra measures to ensure the safety of our products. We have conducted thorough user testing on the product prototype and engaged a mechanical engineer to perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to assess the structural integrity of the design under various weight conditions. The design was optimized based on this analysis to enhance the safety of the final product. These efforts are aimed at creating a safer product to assist with activities of daily living (ADL).
Our wheelchair tray and bracket, can support up to 6 lbs. We strongly recommend that users inspect and test the product before use. Our History
2020
First Prototype
Bought plywood, PVC, and used PLA in 3-D printed parts to create the first moveable wheelchair tray prototype for my husband's manual wheelchair desktop length arm.
This prototype rotated 90 degrees and sat in two different positions. One position is so you could eat. The other position was parallel to the arm straight out in front of the chair.

Hired Contractors
My husband loved his tray so much I drew up some designs to add pocket, cup holder and hired a CAD designer to make a 3-D tray.
Fall of 2023 went to my first tradeshow to obtain feedback on the design. This is when we found out we needed height adjustability, change pocket design and other insights.

Patent & Signed Purchase Order Agreements
Made several large jumps in functionality to the first several prototypes. This included the ability to change tray in several 90 degree rotations, plus allow it to slide in 2 different axis. At this point, I applied for patent and had stress testing done by a mechanical engineer.
Attended my second tradeshow, this time in Florida. The feedback I got from professionals that worked with those in wheelchairs was amazing. Shout out to Juli and all the other wonderful people I met there.
Found several companies, who after signing NDAs, gave me quotes for: the plastic injection mold parts, hardware, packaging, kitting, trucking raw parts and finished goods along with 3PLs.
November 2024
Launched First Moveable Wheelchair Tray
If all goes as planned, we'll start selling our first product at the end of October 2024. My goal is to reinvest the money we make for the first few years back into the business, as the molds cost a lot of money.
I have designs for multiple other products across several platforms to help many different handicap populations. Our goal is to "make everyday easier" for them too.
