A Movable Tray for Manual Wheelchair Desktop Length Arms

Intended Use and Product Limitations

The Moveable Wheelchair Tray is designed for use with manual wheelchairs featuring desktop-length arms. This versatile tray is intended to assist users in carrying small items such as stand-up silverware for easier grasping and eating, phones, books, papers, silverware, drinks, and plates of food. The total weight of items placed on the tray should not exceed 6 lbs.

How to Change Position
Place palm under the pipe that extends beyond the bottom of the clamp shell bracket. Press up on the pipe with your palm until the pipe is level with the bracket. Then you slightly move the tray out, for side tray position, or toward you, for eating position in front of you.

* If you tighten the rail screws you can make it harder to mover for people who may shake and don't want the tray to move all the time. 
* If you want the tray to move easily then loosen the rail screws, under the tray.

Limitations:

• Tray is not intended for use by stroke patients to support their full arm weight.
• It should not be used as a leverage point for standing up.
• The tray should not carry weights exceeding 6 lbs to ensure safety and prevent damage.
• We do not advise putting fingers on the block to raise it as we do not want you to accidently pinch your fingers when the block comes back down into place.

3 Types of Movement:
1.) Slides back and forth in front of a person for eating or 1 second slide out of the way transfer position for standing. 
2.) Find the pipe that goes through the bracket out the bottom. Use your palm to press up on the pipe until flush with the bracket and then slightly push away for side tray.
3.) You can also push the tray slightly toward you and the tray will slide up to your chest. This is handy if you are trying to eat something that is sloppy like ice cream, BBQ sandwiches.

Wheelchairs Bracket Uses
Bracket works on manual wheelchair "desktop length arms."
[Note: If you have a full length arm you can buy a desktop length arm to replace it] 
* Drive: Cruise 3 & 4 (each side of the bracket needs 2 black adapters), 
* Drive: Sentra & Silver Sport (remove black adapters from bracket) 
* Invacare: Tracer EX2 
* Invacare: 9000 XT
* Medline: K1, K2

If the diameter of your desktop length arm pipe is 19mm-20.5 mm use four adapters in the bracket. If you have a bigger diameter pipe of 21-22.5mm then don't use adapters.

The bracket system may work on other desktop length wheelchairs arms with the below parameters.  Bracket works on desktop length arm pipes diameter 19-22.5 mm. The top of the bracket needs 3  inches of horizontal space to attach to. The side of the bracket attaches to 1 inch the vertical pipe which does not have any bolts, etc in the way. If you get this bracket for a wheelchair NOT listed here to see if it works and it does not then you need to send the system back within 3 days in the original packaging with the reason for the return submitted. Note this tray may have minor gray discoloration due to slight moisture at time of pressing. This does not affect structure or function of the tray. 

* Care Instructions: This item should not be left to soak in water, therefore it is not dishwasher safe.  Use a wet washcloth to wipe down and let air dry.
